Top 3 Sioux Falls Breweries of 2022

Hello beer lovers!

As 2022 came to a close, we look back at the incredible moments we had at some of our favorite local breweries. Those 'Oh wow' moments that made us realize we just took a sip of something absolutely amazing and unique. In honor of these great brewery moment, we wanted to highlight our top 3 Sioux Falls Breweries and give a special shoutout to these local gems

1. Severance Brewing Company

This local brewery has quickly become one of our favorite with their wide range of delicious beers. From their flagship hoppy IPAs like Love Notes, to their smooth Cookie Monster stout, there's something for everyone at Severance. Plus, their taproom is always bustling with a fun, energetic atmosphere. It's the coolest taproom. Literally. It won the Coolest Taproom Award in 2020.

2. Remedy Brewing Company

If you're a mega-hop head like us, you gotta check out Remedy Brewery. They're all about crafting some seriously flavorful and unique beers. They've got a ton of different IPAs on tap - DDIPAs, hazies, West Coast IPAs, you name it. We always look forward to bringing our hop-loving friends here. Also, when the downtown burger battle happens, don't miss out. Trust us, it's good. Check out the 2023 line up!

3. Fernson Brewing Company

This well-known downtown brewery is always coming out with new and interesting beers, and their taproom is a great place to try them all. From creative SDSU beers to their Seed Series, you can't go wrong with any beer here. Shout out to Bridget!

Honorable Mention

Buffalo Ridge Brewing in Hartford, SD is definitely worth a visit for all you beer lovers out there. I love the cozy, rustic atmosphere but the wide range of beers on tap is what really seals the deal for me. From classic styles to experimental brews, there's always something new and exciting to try here. My personal favorite is the Mocha Stout - it's got some seriously amazing flavors. Last fall, we had the incredible opportunity to work with Buffalo Ridge and the Big Sioux Brewing Society and see firsthand how the flavors come to life at the brewery.
